With tungsten filament lamps (or ‘Bulbs’) being forcibly changed for newer greener products the day of the LED lamp has dawned.

Having worked in the lighting industry for the past 6 years (previous to this I was an installer/Electrician) I might have picked up a few thing along the way, the most common of these are 1. The information given is not always true 2. For the normal consumer the wording and technology might as well be written in Ancient Greek 3. The advances are moving so fast that it is comparable to to the advances in computer technology 4.People just don’t like change.

LED lighting is here to stay find out what all the fuss is about and how this new light source is rapidly changing. Hopefully I can explain in straight forward terms how it all works, simplify the terminology, the technology behind the innovation and allow you the confidence to embrace the change as it unfolds.
